Ms. Perry: Library and STEM

Hello My Name Is...

Lisa Perry

It's been a long, winding path that led me to the Enderly Heights Elementary School library. I lived about 25 years each in Ohio and Indiana, a couple years in Durham, North Carolina, and nearly five years in Hutschenhausen, Germany. The birth of my grandchildren brought me to Rockbridge County in 2016. I love it here, and haven't looked back.
My experience in library work is limited to a stint as clerk at Duke University Law Library. I come to the Buena Vista school division as a writer with more than a decade of experience in newspapers and editing. I am also a few years into my second decade as a park ranger (currently an education specialist at Natural Bridge State Park) and a National Association for Interpretation credentialed interpreter.
I am looking forward to meeting all the Enderly students and their families, and working with them in STEM and coding. Checking out books in the library will be fun, too!
